Antonis, born in 1956 in Famagusta, graduated from University of Reading in 1978 with a Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying. He worked at MJ Gleesons Ltd (78-79’) and then at John Laing Contractors & Civil Engineering (79-81’). In the following year, he acquired his MSc in Construction Management at University of Reading. Early in his career he was employed in a technical support group developing the CATO Measurement software. Notable projects he was involved in include the Victoria Dam in Sri Lanka, an oil rig for Marathon Oil, a gas pipeline in Birmingham area, an army canal in Iraq & other international projects.
In 83’ he returned to Cyprus where he was the Chief Quantity Surveyor at Chr. Karaoli Construction & Developers Ltd until 1988. He was responsible for undertaking completion of design & execution of custom-made apartments. Amongst others, he coordinated with the designers from Harrods in London.
In 1988, he formed his own practice of Quantity Surveying & Project Management. Through the years, the company has been involved in a vast number of prestigious projects (see portfolio – link). Antonis has also acted as a Fund Monitor for Euro Hypo Greece on the Mall of Cyprus project.
